These Terms and Conditions govern your use of our website and your participation in our motion capture and performance capture acting courses. By accessing our website, purchasing a course, or attending a class, you agree to be bound by these terms.
Our Classes
The Mocap Vaults specializes in performance capture and motion capture acting. Our classes are designed to provide professional training and are recognized worldwide. We offer courses in the UK, US, Sweden, and Canada.
Cancellations and Refunds
We understand that circumstances can change. Our cancellation and refund policy is as follows:
Refunds: To be eligible for a refund, you must notify us of your cancellation at least seven days before your scheduled class. We will attempt to fill your spot. If we are able to replace you, you will receive a refund equal to your total payment minus an administration fee of 25%. Please note that PayPal no longer refunds its transaction fees, and this amount will also be deducted from your refund.
Late Cancellations: If you cancel within seven days of the class and we are unable to find a replacement, you will not be issued a refund.
Class Credits: If you miss a class due to illness or other circumstances beyond your control, and it is agreed upon by the instructor, you may be issued a class credit. This credit is valid only for the next available class and cannot be carried over to any subsequent dates. Failure to attend the next class will result in forfeiture of the credit and no refund will be issued.
Cancellations by The Mocap Vaults: In the unlikely event that we must cancel a class, you will be offered a full refund or the option to transfer your payment to a future class.
Liability
Participation in our acting classes involves physical activity and assumes a certain level of personal risk. By purchasing and participating in a course, you agree to the following:
Assumption of Risk: You voluntarily assume all risks associated with your participation in the class, including but not limited to falls, injuries, and other physical harm. The Mocap Vaults and its instructors will not be held liable for any such injuries, damages, or losses.
Medical Conditions: You are responsible for consulting with a physician before participating in any physical activity, including our courses. You must inform The Mocap Vaults and the instructor of any medical conditions, injuries, or concerns that may affect your ability to participate safely.
Personal Property: The Mocap Vaults is not responsible for any lost, stolen, or damaged personal property that you bring to a class location.
Class Format: Our acting classes focus on the principles of motion capture and performance capture. They do not necessarily take place in a motion capture studio, as this could be a distraction and an additional cost at this stage of the training.
